Mr. Madon is the Managing Partner of Silver Capital Advisors. He is a proven leader with 20+ years executive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and international corporate development. He has been a deal leader and primary negotiator on $35bn+ in buy-side deals, $65bn+ in sell-side deals and $10bn+ in equity/debt financing deals.
Prior to Silver Capital Advisors, Mr. Madon was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Telstra Asia, a top 10 ranked worldwide and top 3 ranked Asian communications firm. He led Telstra’s Asian M&A activities including annual reviews for the Telstra Board and quarterly M&A updates to the CEO and Board. Amongst other deals, he led the NYSE listing of Soufun, the 2nd best IPO performer on NYSE for that year. Additionally, he led other multiple complex Chinese transactions involving several key issues such as earnouts, IPO rights, share transfer provisions, VIE structure contracts and tax issues.
As an investment banker, Mr Madon was co-head of Technology Banking at Nomura Securities and co-head of Banking at ROFGAM Partners, a boutique advisory firm. Prior to that, he started and then ran the East Coast Technology Investment Banking Group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (formerly Wasserstein Perella) and was the senior Technology, Media & Telecom Principal in the M&A Group at Deutsche Bank Securities.
Mr. Madon also worked as a Vice President at Salomon Brothers Inc in their M&A Group where he worked on an extensive review of strategic alternatives for KKR portfolio companies. His transaction experience includes stock merger, takeover defense, rights plan / poison pill, leveraged buyouts, divestiture and restructuring (both operational and strategic) and his industry experience includes technology, media & telecommunications, general industrial, retail, paper & forest products, steel and health care.
Mr. Madon received an MBA in finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and graduated in the top 1% of his class with a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Bombay.
